This is a lovely old stone village house in Kentrochori which needs a restoration, which has the potential to be transformed into a characterful house.
The house is 50m2 and although it has been neglected, the walls are sound and the interior dry. The original old wooden beams have been retained and are a particular feature of this house. There is an additional room upstairs and roof terrace from where you can enjoy beautiful mountain views.
To the front of the property is a small garden of 25m2, which has an old vine that provides shade to the front of the house during the summer, and a small rear courtyard.
This house is situated in this charming village where a lot of restoration work has already been done. There are local tradesmen who undertake restoration work and examples of their work can been clearly seen in the village.
Kentrochori has an excellent taverna and a few kafenions and provides the setting for the novel “Letters from Crete”.
